Margaret Vinci Heldt—the hairdresser credited with creating the first beehive look in 1960s—died June 10 at the age of 98. The Chicago stylist’s look was created with heavy teasing and back combing—and tons of hair spray. The style was the height—literally—of fashion during the 1960s.
